WELL DESIGNED, A QUALITY PRODUCT & EFFICIENT INSTALLATION FROM SOLENT KITCHEN DESIGN I am writing to say how happy we are with the new kitchen recently installed by Solent Kitchen Design. The design works very well, even making the room appear larger, the clearing of the old kitchen and the installation of the new units and flooring was carried out efficiently with the minimum of disruption and at all times the dust and general mess was kept to a minimum. The quality of the units supplied is excellent and we would particularly like to complement your fitters who were at all times courteous and considerate. In short we would wish to congratulate you on supplying a well designed quality product which was efficiently installed on time. We both are extremely pleased with our new kitchen, just in the process of returning things to new cupboards! We are delighted how everything went according to your schedule, everyone arrived on time and completed their tasks superbly. James and Jason,stripped the old kitchen very quickly and did the first fix electrics perfectly. The finished electrics are just how we wanted them. The kitchen delivery guy was very obliging and waited until Mike arrived to help him. I just left him to it and went to work. We cannot praise Mike enough for his hard work!!!! He worked diligently and without stopping. The quality of his finished work is something I know we will appreciate for many many years. When we first walked into the St. Albans showroom we had a good feeling and meeting you sealed the deal! Everything went so smoothly. We just await the glass splashback and its all complete.

In our house we still had the original kitchen installed by the builder 23 years ago - so it was well overdue for an update!! We looked at a number of kitchen ranges from various sources, local builders merchants to national DIY chains but we wanted to find a fully integrated service where everything from design to installation was managed by one supplier. We also needed to fully review how our kitchen worked, installing both units and appliances that both maximised the storage space but also made the kitchen easier to run as we get older. We also wanted something that was modern but not 'fashionable', well built and with all the new storage innovations - corner carousels, drawer units rather than cupboards, pull out basket units etc etc that were sadly missing from our old kitchen. However the options and choices were overwhelming and we needed to find a company that could interpret our vague ideas and give us confidence to spend what was looking to be a significant amount of money! We found Mereway just by looking online and reading various customer reviews. We liked the Cucina Colore range with the new copper coloured doors and we then discovered that Mereway has a supplier in Colchester - Wentworth Kitchens. From there it was easy!! Their showroom in Colchester has a number of the ranges installed so it was easy to get a feel for the style and quality of the units. Their designer - Paul - visited our home and spent quite some time measuring but also looking at the amount of storage we needed and the way we used our existing kitchen and utility room. Over a few weeks we reviewed and amended the original design - adding in extra features such as Le Mans corner carousels and in-cupboard waste bins to make the most of the space. I wanted a waist high cooker to save me from bending but we also needed a microwave and - ideally - a second oven so, we opted for the Siemens range of appliances including a new fridge and freezer - and a dishwasher that tells you how long the cycle still has to run so you don't open the door by mistake!!! There was certainly no 'hard sell' but just a sense that Wentworth really wanted us to get the best solution they could find. Our installation included a fair amount of 'building' work to upgrade the kitchen lighting, install a new electricity supply for the new ovens and block in our old serving hatch between the kitchen and dining room!! (I had been quite excited about this when we moved in but soon grew to hate it!!) however Wentworth scheduled all the builders for us with the electrician, plasterer and the fitters all working seamlessly around each other. There have been a few 'snags', the handles took some extra time to arrive so for a few days we had masking tape handles especially designed by Kevin, our fitter!! Our chosen worktop had to be specially ordered from Spain and then the piece for the utility room was damaged in transit, some unit doors needed to be changed and we are still trying to finalise the last bin to fit an undersized unit in the utility room, but all these issues have been approached with an' it's not your problem we just need to fix this for you ' attitude! Our kitchen is now finished - just waiting for the above mentioned bin and installation of a specially made Splashback we commissioned from a glass artist. We are delighted with the difference it has made to the look of the room but also how it now seems easier to 'run' with storage in drawers rather than cupboards and easy access to the 'corners'. We would have no hesitation in recommending Mereway to anyone looking to change their kitchen and Wentworth Kitchens Colchester to anyone in our local area. The ' journey' hasn't quite been a joy from end to end but the destination has certainly been worth it!

Dear Scott and all at Applewood Kitchens. Thank you so much for designing our dream kitchen. Everything looks so beautiful and perfect at the same time it is so practical and all the appliances are so simple to use but feel very solid. Now we have settled down and are using our kitchen as it should be for a family, it can resemble a bomb site as we go about our business throughout the day but at the end within ten minutes everything is streamlined, glossy and of showroom appearance once again. We would not hesitate to recommend Applewood Kitchens to anyone. A big Thank You to Scott, Andy, Tony and Dave and to everyone else and best wishes for continued success in the future. Dear Scott. Apologies for the delay in sending you a letter of thanks, we had such a busy year. So firstly Happy New Year to you all!! Having lived in our Kitchen for a year, I can say that the result is superb and we absolutely love it. All our friends and visitors comment on how nice it is and it really does have everything we need, the concealed pop up socket in the central island, wine fridge, water softener, built in appliances, pull out double drawer to name but a few. A special thanks to Billy who fitted our kitchen, he exceeded our expectations with his attention to detail and expertise fitting the units to the imperfections of old walls of the house perfectly and as a result the finished kitchen was superb.
